Document Automation Legal Extern

We are seeking a law student will be helping us with document automation for Family Law, Housing Law, and Expungement Law templates in Minnesota. They will also be tasked with learning the LegalServer to Gavel integration and mapping the integration to the Gavel workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Document automation and testing
  • Legal research
  • Analyzing legal aid business processes with our business process improvement team on an as-needed basis
  • Writing our A2J Tech blog posts, which present our projects or cybersecurity concepts, made accessible for our audience of legal aid organizations and law firms
  • Creating social media content to help us get the word out about access to justice where people are
  • Our service offerings are always expanding and no two days at A2J are the same. We will provide you with all of the training and tools you need; all you need to have is a willingness to learn and a passion for access to justice.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Google suite of office management tools required
  • Strong communication, listening, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to quickly learn different software platforms and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-based team environment and independently and efficiently to complete assignments
  • Ability to be flexible and accommodating in work assignments

Nice to Haves

Document automation or coding experience is not required, but a great plus! We will provide you with all of the training and tools you need; all you need to have is a willingness to learn and a passion for access to justice.

Pay Rate

$20 - $25 OR Course Credit OR Pro Bono Hours

Additional Details

We can accommodate a range of hours for your externship or internship requirements, from part-time to full-time. Please note that while we do work completely remotely and accommodate a range of time zones across the United States, we do expect externs and interns to respond in a timely manner during our regular business hours.
